Game Freak catapults ‘Tembo the Badass Elephant’ to PS4, Xbox One; Nintendo fans wonder why

By

Game Freak, the developers of "Pokemon," have decided to take a break from their usual manipulation of pocket monster DNA and went to developing a new diabolical creature to choke the gaming community with comic relief. Game Freak, collaborating with Sega, would bring to the world "Tembo the Badass Elephant."

Sega uploaded a teaser on their YouTube channel on the pachyderm packed for military mayhem. Based on the video, "Tembo the Badass Elephant" would embark on a mission to save Shell City from the Phantom Army. Gamers would certainly be amused with what this elephant can do, especially when it blows its horn. The moment gamers would see the video, they certainly say to themselves, "I got to have that elephant."

"Tembo the Badass Elephant's" platform design, a "2-D side scroller," would certainly be familiar with old time gamers who grew up with Sega classics. Gamers would see "Tembo" ram its way through walls, jump from buildings and crash on enemies while earning points. However, gamers should not take it too easy; even if "Tembo" would be huge, the enemies' artillery would certainly pack a punch.

Game Freak's upcoming game would be released on PS4, Xbox One and PC this summers. Sega also posted an updated on their blog on "Tembo the Badass Elephant." In their blog, Sega said that "Tembo" would help the National Army, led by General Krenman, in stomping out "the devastating forces of Phantom."

Add to that, "Tembo the Badass Elephant" would have a faithful flying companion, "Picolo," which would help it in flattening the enemies. The game would be loaded with 17 levels in "unique comic book art" style.

So, far the one-minute teaser was the only information on "Tembo." However, Game Freak's latest creation was greeted by mixed reactions from gamers, especially Nintendo fanatics, which range from silly to mundane.
