"Resident Evil: Revelations 2" would be getting an update to make it look more impressive in PS4. The patch was reported to make the PS4 edition closely match the graphic details of the Xbox One and PC editions.
Capcom recently released a patch for "Resident Evil: Revaltions 2" to resolve the framerate issue raised by some PS4 gamers. The latest patch for PS4 was able to make the framerate closer to the rate in Xbox One. However, some aspects in the game still encountered some challenges that made "Resident Evil: Revelations 2" PS4 edition one of the poorly optimized games in the franchise, based on a report from WCCF Tech.
The patch was able to improve the "Resident Evil: Revelations 2" PS4 edition with a minimum of 31fps compared to the earlier 27fps. However, the Xbox One edition still ran higher with 44fps. However, the most striking observation was with the game's PC edition. The earlier games reportedly were able to run at 4K support in the PC using high-end hardware; but, "Resident Evil: Revaltions 2" had difficulty reaching that level even with powerful a PC.
The final episode for "Resident Evil Revelations 2" was recently released last week. Add to that, no other patches were reported to be released soon apart from a free update for Raid mode that would be released on March 31st.
Speaking of Raid mode, it would seem that Capcom hurried the release of the latest patch for "Resident Evil: Revaltions 2" so that it would be launched ahead of the March 31st Raid mode update and to keep the game running while waiting for the upcoming online support for Raid mode according to Inquisitr.
Nonetheless, this would not be conclusive as Capcom remained mum on the matters concerning the optimization issue on "Resident Evil: Revaltions 2" as well as any possible patches to come after the launch of the March 31st update.
