"Empire" left many fans hanging with its explosive season one finale, which aired on March 18 on Fox. Now that the show is confirmed for season two, an executive producer admits that he wants to bring Denzel Washington in the series.

This article contains spoilers for "Empire" season 2. Read on for more details.

"I've got to lure him in with my fishhook, but he is really a great support of the show and Lenny Kravitz is going to be on the show, hopefully," said Lee Daniels, the executive producer of "Empire." Cinema Blend reported that it might take a lot of effort for Daniels to get Washington to guest star in "Empire" especially because he is not really the type who gets into a TV series.

While Washington and Kravitz have not yet been confirmed to guest star in the season two of "Empire," spoilers tease fans that previous murders will come back to haunt the main characters of the show. Showrunner Ilene Chaiken told TV Line that halfway through season one, they noticed that one storyline connects with another different point, which led them to connect the dots and create an "arc" from those points.

"We've learned that, as in life, our actions come back to haunt us," Chaiken said.

Chaiken revealed that despite being removed as CEO of Empire Enterprises, Lucious will come back to get Cookie. Chaiken also revealed that Lucious' real name, Dwight Walker, was a hint for fans and viewers that season two will reveal more on Lucious' past.

Chaiken added that season two will brush up on Vernon's death. In season one, Vernon was accidentally killed when Rhonda tried to defend her husband Andrei. Chaiken told EW that Vernon's death will come up in the series in the same way that they did with Bunky's murder.
