'Diablo 3: Reaper of Souls' patch 2.2.0 goes live; PS4, Xbox One, PC gamers to encounter three new 'treasure goblins' and use 'vacuum' pick-up

"Diablo III: Reaper of Souls" would surely be delighted to hear that Blizzard Entertainment had released patch 2.2.0, which would be available for PS4, Xbox One and the PC. The latest patch would also provide gamers free items as loot that they could use in their epic journey.

The latest patch would feature three new "treasure goblins" that had made their way into the "realm of Sanctuary." Apart from that, the entire quantity of gems and other craft items would be crafted all in the same time. Also, "Diablo III: Reaper of Souls" would now be able to increase their "Blood Shard cap" by acquiring the "personal best in Solo Greater Rifts." As for "legendary" items, two new potions, two new gems and dozens of new and revamped "legendary" powers were added in the latest game patch. With regard to classes, significant improvements would be seen in all six classes as well as new Barbarian, Demon Hunter, and Wizard sets for the game, based on Diablo's blog on Battle.Net.

Then there was also the developers comment on item pick-ups in the game. The game would now have a "vacuum" effect that occurs whenever a player picked up a crafting item or a gem in the game. The effect would occur "when picking up any crafting material that causes any other materials of that type within 20 yards to also be picked up. Gems take it one step further; pick one up and all other gems within 20 yards will be collected," based on a report from Gamespot.

Apart from that, the game developers also explained the reason behind the "vacuum" pick-up included in the latest patch. On the "Developer Comments" in the blog, they wrote that "with the introduction of certain Treasure Goblin variants last patch the amount of clicking was excessive. We've implemented what we call "vacuum pickup" to alleviate how often you have to click to pick up a large quantity of items while maintaining some aspect of the physical pickup act."

While "Diablo III: Reaper of Souls" had already been live in the Americas, gamers in Asia and the EU would still have to wait for further announcement regarding the patch going live in their region.
