Call of Duty Advanced Warfare had its second DLC pack released last March 31 with the name "Ascendance". It will continue and add on to the features left hanging by the first DLC pack "Havoc". However, only a limited set of items will be introduced but are still worthwhile the look.
The most intriguing additions are the new multiple player maps that are more than just areas where games will happen. Moreover, the maps will almost serve as opponents themselves. There will be four added maps namely Perplex, Site 244, Climate, and Chop Shop.
Perplex will be taking place in a five-story modular apartment building that will continually change based on how the construction drones move the apartment's modules. Nearly the same changing feature can also be found in Climate, which is a man-made, climate-controlled enclosure that will have its river change from being friendly to harmful. In Site 244, however, will take place in Mt. Rushmore with a crashed alien ship with spilled mysterious cargo. Players can take advantage of the area by opening up alien spores to enhance exo abilities and perks. Cop Shop, in the other hand, is an industrial complex where players can secure areas with the use of an Advanced Repulsion Turret.
Other than maps, there will be two new added weapons; the OHM directed energy light machine gun/shotgun hybrid and a custom variant for the OHM Werewolf . Additionally, the DLC pack also features a new ability called Exo Grapple. It will allow players to reach strategic vantage points faster and easier but can also be used as a secondary deadly weapon.
For the interest of some, the DLC pack will lengthen the Exo Zombies chapter with the addition of a chapter two. It will take place in the outskirts of an Atlas facility and will include new added zombies as well as new traps and armaments. Something to look forward for people who are more on the campaign-side of the game rather than the multiplayer gameplay.
Additionally, two more DLC packs are bound to be released for the game. Though, no further details have been made public. As of the moment, the Ascendance DLC pack for Call of Duty Advance Warfare will keep players busy for the meantime.
