After reports on the upcoming release of the basic 1TB Xbox One, an online retailer might have accidentally leaked the supposed launch date of the anticipated next generation gaming console. Also, Xbox One was able to beat PS4 in terms of console sales in April.
The online Spanish retailer Lamee Software might have accidentally leaked the release date of the alleged basic 1TB Xbox One Microsoft had been planning to launch mid-2015, based on a report from Naples Herald. The online retailer had posted an advertisement for the basic 1TB Xbox One that was dated for a June 23rd release and was priced at roughly around US$499.99. However, Lamee Software had already removed that page containing the advertisement.
Add to that, the gaming community had set their eyes at the upcoming E3 2015 this June where Microsoft would be making the official announcement regarding the basic 1TB Xbox One. Also, Microsoft was also expected to be revealing it latest list of new games, which was dubbed as the "greatest games lineup in Xbox history" in E3 2015, based on a report from GameSided.
Microsoft also made the "greatest games" announcement in their various social media platforms. The titles that were supposed to be part of Microsoft's E3 2015 show would be "Rise of the Tomb Raider," "Star Wars: Battlefront" and "Halo 5." However, it was also reported that Microsoft would be reserving some announcements for the Gamescom scheduled in August.
Meanwhile, Xbox One had claimed victory over PS4 in terms of game console sales last April, based on a report from GameRant. This was confirmed by Xbox marketing manager Mike Nichols; he said that "as the best-selling console in the U.S. in April, fans set record April sales and engagement for Xbox One last month. Xbox One console sales in the U.S. increased 63 percent in April 2015 compared to April 2014 and Xbox Live comparisons showed the number of active global users [Xbox One and Xbox 360] grew 24 percent. We are grateful to our fans for their passion and support and are looking forward to sharing more on the best game lineup in Xbox history at E3."
Indeed with so much activity surrounding Xbox One, many players would be anticipating their program for the E3 2015.
