New Xbox One Wireless Controller Possibly Launched at Microsoft's E3 2015 Presentation; Leaks Reveal 3.5mm Jack, Epansion Slot and USB Port

A new wireless controller for Xbox One is set to make an appearance at the upcoming Electronic Entertainment Expo on 16-18 June at Los Angeles.

Microsoft is one of the main presenters at the 2015 E3, and is set to do a press conference on the morning of 15 June to provide information on what the company will be presenting a couple of weeks from now.

The tech giant is expected to talk about Halo 5, Rise of the Tomb Raider, Call of Duty: Black Ops 3, HoloLens and even Windows 10 but recent leaks pointed to the Xbox One Wireless Controller being announced at E3 too.

The Xbox One Wireless Controller has a similar appearance and design compared to the current Xbox One controller. One main difference though, is the presence of a 3.5mm jack, which could lead to a whole new gaming experience especially for hardcore players. Now, any regular headphone will become a wireless sound connection when attached to the bottom of the controller. The new wireless controller has a USB charging port and an expansion slot as well.

It's high time Microsoft came up with this one, since its main competitor has had the Sony Dual Shock 4 came out with similar features quite some time ago.

Microsoft might sell the Xbox One Wireless Controller separately or in a bundle, but its perceived announcement comes at a good time especially for players who haven't upgraded their controllers yet. As a matter of fact, reports point to a new Xbox One bundle called the Independent Developers Pack, spotted in Microsoft's official store in Australia. The pack includes a Wireless Xbox One Controller, five download tokens and DLC content for two games. The listing has since been taken down.

While other details about the new Wireless Xbox One Controller has not been released yet, Microsoft confirmed that the bundle offer is may vary from country to country.
