'Pnuema: Breath of Life' PS4, Xbox One, PC Review: Philosophical puzzler lures in players in the classical Greco-Roman world of gods

Players would be delighted to learn that a new philosophical puzzler, "Pneuma: Breath of Life," would soon be launched for the PS4 on July 7th. The former Xbox One exclusive game would also be available for the PC soon.

Players would be taking the role of a god in the upcoming game, "Pneuma: Breath of Life," as they explore the quaint and grand world of the gods, solving puzzles and answering questions that would tinker with their inner selves. "[Players] will play as a god, Pneuma, listening to his comical self-obsessed inner monologue whilst he takes you on a journey exploring and traversing his puzzling world. You must progress through a series of environmental challenges that require perception, observation, and lateral thinking skills to succeed. You will lift bridges, rotate platforms and unlock gigantic doors all with the power of your mind," based on a report from GamersHell.

The game had been released for some time and had been available in Steam and Xbox One. "Pneuma: Breath of Life" had also received a variety of good points in a review published last February, based on a report from EuroGamer.

Perhaps one of the interesting features of the game would be its Oculus compatibility as well as its high graphic quality, which recreated Greco-Roman architecture solely to enhance the classic "god" feel for the puzzle game. "Its strength is that it looks at the same predicaments as Portal and Bioshock from a compelling angle, unburdened by lore, but it doesn't quite have the spark to be breathtaking."

Apart from that, another review from Kotaku last March branded "Pneuma: Breath of Life" as "mostly [feeling] like a muddle of over-ambitious design intentions redeemed by a strongly implemented mechanic. Pneuma insists a little too hard that it's a special snowflake but there is in fact enough uniqueness to the first-person game to recommend playing it."

Over-all, the verdict of most reviews on the game had encouraging words for players to try out the puzzle game that would soon be blanketing two of the most popular current-generation consoles.
