'Aquaman' may include popular series villains Black Manta and Ocean Master. Star Jason Momoa talks about bulking up for roles and training under Mada Abdelhamid.

According to Movie Pilot, the titular superhero may battle it out against two of his long-time enemies including the supervillain Black Manta who debuted in the DC comics on 1976 and Ocean Master who appeared in an earlier 1966 edition. It was unclear whether the primary antagonists in the comic books would somehow make their way in the live-action adaptation as no official reports have been released as of the present.

Black Manta, a member of the short lived Injustice League, is an enigmatic character depicted with a black wetsuit and bug-eyed helmet. He has a deep rooted hatred for the ocean and with Aquaman who represents the creatures within it. Ocean Master is the half-brother of Aquaman and is considered one of the hero's greatest enemies as he is always plotting to reclaim Atlantis' seat of power.

Jason Momoa may not be the one to get intimidated that easily as he is all set to depict a tougher, more ruthless version of the Prince of Atlantis. The actor of Hawaiian descent has played quite a number of menacing protagonists in the past including Conan the Barbarian in 'Conan' and the Dothraki ruler Khal Drogo in 'Game of Thrones'. In order to get ready for his physically engaging roles, he admitted to adhering to a rigorous diet and exercise regimen during training.

In an interview with Esquire, Momoa revealed that he had already begun bulking up and training for demanding stunts for his first DC appearance on 'Justice League' for several months. He reiterated the need for discipline and strict routine as well as keeping a healthy balance between the mind and body. He also stressed that the key to working out is to have fun and go outdoors.

An article from Bleach Report also revealed that Momoa's personal trainer happens to be WWE 'Tough Enough' competitor Mada Abdelhamid. The Egyptian worked with Momoa on his upcoming film 'The Bad Batch' with Jim Carrey and Keanu Reeves. Abdelhamid said, "I will also be on set for his Aquaman andJustice League movies. He likes to work out with me because we push each other."

'Aquaman' is standalone film in DC's shared universe currently under development with Warner Bro.'s to be directed by 'Furious 7' filmmaker James Wan. The first film in the trilogy is scheduled to be released on July 27, 2018.
