The upcoming "Captain America: Civil War" is one of the highest anticipated movies in the Marvel Cinematic Universe because it will feature a huge roster of Avengers, including the premiere of new heroes. However, The Hulk is apparently not invited to the party.
In an interview with Italian film site Bad Taste, The Hulk actor Mark Ruffalo explained that Marvel is saving the revelation on his character for later.
"The reason is too great to be revealed in this movie (Civil War)," Ruffalo said, as translated by Comingsoon.net. "I was in the script but then they removed my character. They don't want to reveal where is he and why. I don't even know if Hulk will be back soon."
Aside from the star-spangled hero, played by Chris Evans, "Civil War" will show Iron Man (Robert Downey Jr.), Black Widow (Scarlett Johansson), Falcon (Anthony Mackie), The Vision (Paul Bettany), Hawkeye (Jeremy Renner), War Machine (Don Cheadle), and Scarlett With (Elizabeth Olsen).
The third "Captain America" standalone movie will also welcome new Avengers such as Spiderman, to be played by Tom Holland, and Black Panther, reprised by Chadwick Boseman.
Fans of the other guy have been stoked about his appearance in "Civil War," assuming that he is too big to be left out. But before his recent interview, Ruffalo said that he was in the dark about the production.
"If Robert Downey, Jr. says I'm in 'Captain America,' I'm in 'Captain America' dammit," Ruffalo joked in an interview with HitFix last June. "And I will wait for the day that my call sheet shows up at my doorstep or my script. At this point, I'm told that I'm in it by Robert, which I'll take as biblical, but I just haven't heard or seen from production yet."
From the looks of it, The Hulk will just have to sit this battle down in the theaters along with the rest of the Marvel fans as "Captain America: Civil War" premieres on May 6, 2016.
