HTC which was recently reported to be rolling out the Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow update to HTC One A9 has now confirmed that the said handset will obtain the latest upgrade this month.
According to Christian Today, the HTC One A9 was one of the first devices to come with Android 6.0 Marshmallow. Because of this, there were speculations that HTC is on a roll regarding Android updates. With this, the One A9 will be among the first non-Nexus devices to get the very first Android Marshmallow update. Apparently, just hours after the release of the new OS, the Taiwanese tech giant has already lined up a rough plan for releasing the next version to its flagship.
International Business Times reported that the Google's new Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow update to the said device is official now. HTC's VP of Product Management Mo Versi, who is very active in Twitter, has recently confirmed the latest OS upgrade for the metal-clad One A9.
As it may seem, the Taiwanese tech company will be rolling out the latest Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow update to HTC One A9 towards the end of December. Additionally, HTC assured earlier that the company will be sending out all the Android updates within 15 days of Google's Nexus handsets obtaining the same.
NDTV Gadgets cited that the Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow update will bring support for the new set of emojis, just like what was promised last week. This can be used on Google's Keyboard app that ships with the Nexus devices. It exactly adds new emoji characters with full support for Unicode 7.0 and 8.0 emojis. The previously available emojis have also obtained visible tweaks in terms.
The Marshmallow update also brings with it this December the Security Update for Android devices together with minor tweaks such as adding revamped navigation buttons for tablets.
With the Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow's arrival to HTC One A9 handsets this month, other HTC devices is expected to follow suit after. Owners of the other HTC smartphones will just have to wait for the company's announcement as to when it will roll out the newest firmware to their handsets.
