'Avengers: Age of Ultron' Spoilers: Will Tony Stark Really Die in an Upcoming Film? And Which Avenger Will Replace Him?

By

Robert Downey, Jr. can't be Iron Man forever. Yes, those who love "The Avengers" would like him to actually be Iron Man forever, but it's just not possible.

And that day, when Downey Jr. hangs up the metal suit for good, may be coming quite soon. DNAIndia has just published a new report on the "Avengers" star, and how his days as Iron Man may be coming to an end. According to their piece, rumors have been circulating that Tony Stark may meet his end in the upcoming "Avengers: Age of Ultron."

Their reports also include that Downey Jr. has grown tired of playing Tony Stark, and that he may want to retire the character sooner rather than later. There's just one issue, though- Downey Jr. is still under contract for at least one more film after "Age of Ultron"- "Avengers 3."

So unless Marvel wants to do a little creative writing (we shouldn't put it past them), we'll probably see Stark in at least one more film.

However, there's still a chance we might see the end of Stark in "Age of Ultron." According to KDramaStars, the character will begin a bit of a feud with Bruce Banner (also known as The Hulk) in the upcoming film.

"Stark has set Banner up in order to be able to continue his good works in Stark Tower," said Downey Jr.

"Tony has a project of his own. So it's one of those things where it's like a development team - 'Hey how's it going over there? That looks nice and green. Can I talk to you about this other idea I have?' But it winds up not being such a good idea."

Later, the actor added, "Bruce is dubious as to the moral psychology of this project idea of Tony's. It's nice because it sets up a little bit of tension between us."

And as any "Avengers" fan should know, messing with the Hulk is a dangerous idea.

But who would replace a hero as important as Iron Man? Well, according to Movie Pilot, it might be Ms. Marvel. They did a little sleuthing and found an actress, Aurora Fearnley, who's been cast as a character known only as "marine." But a character as vaguely described as that could be a little something more.

We all know Joss Whedon loves his twists- so isn't it possible that "Marine" might be Ms. Marvel?

Check back soon as we find out more details on the story.
