The comic book superhero genre has indeed taken over the small screen. Almost every major television broadcasting station has a superhero series that is currently running, with a lot more in production. This week has also featured numerous developments, such as cast members leaving and coming back, as well as upping the trends and introducing new characters. Here are some of the latest updates on your favorite comic book superhero TV shows:
Arrow
Last week's episode of 'Arrow,' titled "Broken Arrow," featured the departure of Colton Haynes' character Roy Harper (a.k.a. Arsenal), which was done in an expected yet satisfying manner. While most fans were for killing off the character, the executive producers of the show stated that Roy would still have opportunities of appearing in future episodes. The question on everybody's minds now is: Now that the Arsenal has left team Arrow, will this be the time for Thea Queen to step up and become Ollie's new sidekick?
The Flash
It's about time. With only a few more episodes to go before the season finale, a lot of fans are beginning to wonder when Barry and the rest of team Flash would finally uncover the truth - that Harrison Wells is not who they think he is. The final moments of "All-Star Teamup" featured Barry telling Caitlyn and Cisco what he knows, and their reactions gave fans a hint on the path that they would take in becoming the villain and the superhero that they ought to become.
Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.
Coulson is on the run, hunted by the very organization that he was fighting to protect. The good news is, that someone from the past may be able to help him out. Cobie Smulders, who plays agent Maria Hill in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, teased her character's return in 'Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.' before the end of season 2, according to a report by TVOvermind.
Gotham
According to an article published by TV Guide, it looks like Selina has taken another crucial step into becoming the Catwoman. Last week's episode of 'Gotham' featured Selina being forced to kill a spy on Wayne Enterprises by pushing him out of the window to prevent him from informing his employer that Bruce Wayne is onto him. Selina's intentions might have been good, but her actions will certainly have dire consequences.
Marvel's Daredevil
It is without doubt that this week's episode of 'Marvel's Daredevil,' titled "Nelson V. Murdock," has one of the most important moments of the show's first season, according to A.V.Club. After Matt finally reveals his identity as the masked vigilante of Hell's Kitchen to his best friend Foggy, their relationship becomes strained to say the least.
