After his successful teen drama ‘The Fault in Our Stars’ last year, Fox has hired director Josh Boone to spearhead the new ‘X-Men’ spin-off ‘The New Mutant.’ Aside from directing the spin-off, Boone was also hired to pen the script along with Knate Gwaltney.
