Jason Momoa is set to play as the King of Atlantis and is expected to provide an edgier take on the character. Before he dives into his own standalone film in the DCCU, rumors have circulated that he might be first seen in the movies Suicide Squad and Batman v Superman, both slated to be released next year. According to Heroic Hollywood, Aquaman's trident will end up in the possession of Amanda Waller. But aside from that, fans will also reportedly see Aquaman being held as a prisoner in a containment chamber, where he is being tested on. Aside from his appearance in Suicide Squad, rumors suggest that he might also appear in the upcoming Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice. As cited in another article, reports have surfaced that the figure of a hunched-over muscular lump of a man could be the King of Atlantis. Momoa's performance for the role is expected to be far from the traditional Aquaman who is portrayed in the comics wearing the orange and green costume. No news have been released yet as to other possible actors for the film, but more details are expected to be released as production progress.
